The Hartebeestfontein Conservancy reports a number of sightings of Long-crested eagles at the end of May, beginning of June.
For the second consecutive year, the winter months have brought this "vagrant from the north" to the Conservancy.
Inspired, the residents have tackled as their next project "Bird of the Month". This follows a series on Tree of the Month, and Wildflower of the Month. Each series focuses specifically on the Magaliesberg "locals". See www.hartebeestfonteinconservancy.org.za
The regular features also results in a slew of sightings being reported - from grassowls to bushbabies. We do love to talk about the wild creatures that touch our lives!
