At his visit on 16 April 2019 at Cofesa head office of the then minister of Tourism, Mr Derek Hanekom, Mr Vincent Caruthers, pioneer of the declaration of the Unesco Magaliesberg Biosphere Reserve, gave a lecture on the importance of the  Biosphere for research, science and tourism. Mr Hanekom undertook to refer our initiatives to his ‘precinct team’.
