After many requests for guidance on how to book hiking trails in the Magaliesberg Biosphere, we are excited to share this hiking trail list and interactive map.

The Magaliesberg Biosphere is a magnificently diverse landscape of mountains, valleys, ridges, cliffs, kloofs, bushveld, rolling grasslands and extraordinary rock formations. Hiking through these landscapes is one of the most affordable and healthy ways to experience the wilderness — with your feet on the ground and your senses fully alive.

The Magaliesberg Biosphere Reserve is an internationally recognised bio-cultural landscape. It is “owned” by everyone who loves it — those who live here and those who visit. Unlike traditional reserves, it is not owned by a single entity. Each of the hiking trails listed and mapped here is privately owned and operated. Trails are grouped by region for ease of use. A single contact number is provided for each trail. Simply click on the corresponding hike on the interactive map to view further details.
